CapitalPay International and the Kenya International Freight and Warehousing Association signed a long-term agreement on 10 October 2025 to develop a Centralised Clearing and Forwarding Management System, known as CCFMS. The signing took place at the JW Marriott in Nairobi, with KIFWA chair Fredrick Aloo and CapitalPay International chief executive Garang Mayom Malek.
One programme, connected records
The proposed system brings together agent licensing, compliance, cargo monitoring, dispute handling and professional training. Its purpose is to connect information that currently passes between associations, agents and other organisations involved in clearing and forwarding.
For an agent, the practical connection is between a professional record, the requirement attached to a task and the evidence that the requirement has been met. A payment or training record needs to remain traceable to the person, organisation and activity it concerns.
The announced implementation plan
The agreement was announced as a 20-year partnership. Reporting at the time described a planned 24-month implementation programme covering design, pilot deployment and national implementation, intended to serve more than 1,200 licensed clearing and forwarding agents.
These are the scope and timetable announced at signing. Programme enquiries can cover the implementation phase, participating organisations and the functions available for a particular use.
