The work behind a shipment
Clearing and forwarding brings together professional records, documentation, approvals and payments. Each organisation has its own responsibility, but the information must remain connected as a shipment moves through the process.
Our planned system focuses on the administrative connection: identifying an agent, applying the relevant workflow and recording the payment against the correct reference. This is the same practical problem at the centre of CapitalPay International’s KIFWA programme.
An association-led programme
In October 2025, CapitalPay International entered an agreement with the Kenya International Freight and Warehousing Association to develop a centralised clearing-and-forwarding management system. Read about the KIFWA programme and its purpose.
A programme needs a defined scope, clear responsibilities and a path from design to implementation. Training, handling exceptions and supporting the people who use the system are part of that work.
