CapitalPay International and Viaservice are working on the connection between container logistics, payment records and the capital tied up in moving goods. Their Mombasa–Juba Trade Corridor Activation was launched at the Global Logistics Convention in Juba, held from 25 to 27 August 2026.

From a partnership to a corridor programme

The collaboration was reported by KBC on 12 March 2026, following an agreement between Viaservice Kenya and CapitalPay International. The August convention gave the partners a forum to present the corridor initiative to the freight and logistics sector. Read the March partnership coverage.

The corridor connects the Port of Mombasa with the South Sudan market. The programme brings together Viaservice’s container service and CapitalPay’s work on payment, reconciliation and cargo information.

What each partner brings

Viaservice Container Solution addresses the cash deposits associated with container use. CapitalPay’s contribution centres on the payment records and data needed to follow and reconcile a trade transaction. The shared aim is to improve visibility and reduce the working capital tied up in the process.

A shipper or clearing agent needs to understand the conditions for a shipment, the applicable charges and the way a container and its payment record are tracked. Those operational details determine how a programme can be used in practice.

The next implementation questions

Viaservice’s subsequent programme update describes the intended benefits and the operational work behind the announcement. Shippers and clearing agents considering participation should discuss the route, shipment arrangements, eligibility and service terms with the programme team.
